Privacy Policy for Databunker.org

Effective Date: May 29, 2026

Databunker Tech Ltd, an Israeli company (company no. 517349809) and operator of Databunker.org (“we,” “us,” or “our”), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at databunker.org (the “Website”) or register for and use our customer portal and account dashboard at portal.databunker.org (the “Portal,” and together with the Website, the “Services”). We operate under the laws of Israel, including the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and related regulations. By using the Services, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Services.

Scope — controller data only. This Privacy Policy covers personal data for which Databunker acts as the controller: visitors to the Website and people who register for and administer a Portal account (such as your name, email, login credentials, organization, and billing details). It does not govern the personal data that customers store in, or process through, the Databunker products — for example, end-user records held in a Databunker Pro vault, cloud resources and data scanned by Databunker Radar, or data subjects managed in Databunker DPO. For that data, Databunker acts as a processor on the customer’s behalf, and the processing is governed by our Data Processing Agreement (see databunker.org/legal) and the applicable product terms, not by this policy. When you run Databunker Pro self-hosted on your own infrastructure, Databunker does not have access to the data you store in it.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

Personal Information

  • Contact Information: Such as your name, email address, phone number, or other identifiers you provide when contacting us, subscribing to newsletters, registering for services, or booking meetings.
  • Account Information: When you register for the Portal, we collect your email address and password, or — if you sign in with Google or Microsoft — the basic profile information (such as your name and email) that provider shares with us. We also keep account details such as your organization, role, and team memberships. Portal account records are themselves stored encrypted in a Databunker Pro vault.
  • Payment Information: If applicable, billing details processed through third-party payment providers (we do not store credit card information directly).
  • Communication Data: Information from emails, forms, or other interactions with us.
  • Meeting Booking Data: Information you provide when scheduling meetings through third-party services like Calendly (https://calendly.com) or Cal.com (https://cal.com), such as your name, email, and meeting preferences.
  • Email Subscription Data: Email addresses collected for sending product updates or newsletters, with your consent.

Non-Personal Information

  • Usage Data: Details about your interactions with the Website, including IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent, and referring URLs.
  • Device Information: Information about the device you use to access the Website, such as hardware model, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Advertising Identifiers: When you reach the Website via a paid advertisement, we may store the ad-network click identifier (such as Google’s “gclid”) to attribute and measure conversions.
  • Cookies and Tracking Data: See Section 6 for details on cookies, analytics, advertising, and screen recording.

We collect this information directly from you (e.g., via forms or booking tools), automatically through technology (e.g., cookies), or from third parties (e.g., analytics providers, Calendly, or Cal.com).

2. How We Collect Information

  • Directly from You: When you voluntarily provide it, such as filling out contact forms, subscribing to product updates, booking meetings via Calendly or Cal.com, or communicating with us.
  • Automatically: Through cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies as you navigate the Website.
  • From Third Parties: From service providers like analytics tools, advertising networks, or booking platforms (e.g., Calendly, Cal.com).

3. Use of Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Website and our services (e.g., Databunker secure data storage solutions).
  • To respond to your inquiries, provide customer support, and communicate with you.
  • To process transactions and send related confirmations.
  • To send marketing communications, product updates, or newsletters (with your consent where required).
  • To facilitate meeting scheduling through Calendly or Cal.com.
  • To analyze Website usage, trends, and performance for internal business purposes.
  • To personalize your experience, including targeted advertising and retargeting.
  • To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, or protect our rights.
  • For security purposes, such as detecting fraud or unauthorized access.

4. Sharing of Your Information

We may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist us with Website operations, such as hosting, analytics, session recording (e.g., Smartlook, EU region), payment processing, email delivery, meeting scheduling (e.g., Calendly, Cal.com), advertising (e.g., Google Ads), and live chat (Meta/Facebook Messenger, if you choose to open the chat widget).
  • Business Partners: For joint marketing or services, with your consent.
  • Legal Authorities: If required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
  • In Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

5. International Data Transfers

As we are based in Israel, your data is primarily processed there. Israel is recognized by the European Union as providing an adequate level of data protection. If we transfer data to other countries (e.g., through services like Calendly or Cal.com), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses.

6. Cookies, Tracking Technologies, and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, analyze usage, and deliver personalized content.

  • Essential Cookies: Necessary for Website functionality (e.g., session management).
  • Analytics Cookies: To measure Website traffic and advertising performance. We use Google Ads conversion and remarketing tracking; when you arrive from a Google ad, we process the associated click identifier (such as “gclid”) to attribute conversions. We do not currently use Google Analytics.
  • Advertising Cookies: For targeted advertising and retargeting. We may use Google Ads or similar platforms to show you relevant ads based on your Website visits and interactions.
  • Session Recording: With your consent, we use Smartlook (EU region, hosted in the European Union) to record anonymised interactions with the Website — clicks, scrolls, mouse movements, and page navigation — to understand how visitors use the site and improve usability. Smartlook automatically masks form inputs by default; passwords and sensitive fields are never recorded. Smartlook loads only after you accept via our cookie-consent banner, and we do not run session recording on our paid advertising landing pages. To withdraw consent, clear this site’s stored data in your browser (for example, via your browser’s site settings), which will cause the consent banner to appear again on your next visit.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may limit Website functionality. For more details on third-party tools:

Our cookie-consent banner is how you control non-essential tracking on this Website; we honor the choice you make there.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

  • Contact, communication, and booking data: kept for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable follow-up period.
  • Email-subscription data: kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
  • Session recordings (Smartlook): retained for a limited period and then deleted, in line with Smartlook’s EU data-retention settings.
  • Advertising and conversion data: retained according to the relevant ad network’s retention policies.

When personal information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymise it.

9. Your Rights

Wherever you are, and whatever your reason, we are happy to help you exercise your rights over your personal data. These typically include:

  • Access to your data.
  • Correction or update of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion of your data (subject to legal exceptions). You may request deletion of your personal information, including email addresses used for product updates, by contacting us.
  • Objection to processing or restriction of use.
  • Data portability.
  • Withdrawal of consent (where processing is based on consent), such as unsubscribing from product updates.

To exercise these rights, contact us at office@databunkertech.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 30 days.

If your personal data is held in a Databunker product on behalf of one of our customers — for example, inside a Databunker Pro vault, or a Databunker DPO or Radar account that a company operates — then that company, not Databunker, is responsible for your data. Please contact the company you originally engaged with first. If they do not respond, contact us at office@databunkertech.com and we will do our best to help facilitate your request with them.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Website is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Website after changes constitutes acceptance.
